Mission Statement
Limelight Drama is a locally owned and operated Drama School based in New Plymouth, Taranaki. We currently offer after school drama/acting classes for children and teens.
Our mission at Limelight Drama is to provide a safe, supportive, and creative environment where young people can develop their confidence, creativity, and communication skills through the art of drama.
We believe that drama education is a powerful tool for personal growth and development, and we strive to inspire and nurture the next generation of actors, writers, directors, and creative professionals.
Through our classes, workshops, and performances, we aim to cultivate a love of theatre, foster imagination and empathy, and encourage young people to express themselves authentically and fearlessly.
We are committed to providing inclusive, accessible, and high-quality drama education that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our ultimate goal is to empower young people to become confident, compassionate, and engaged members of their communities, who are equipped with the skills and mindset to succeed in any path they choose.

Limelight Drama is a passion project, founded by Loren Armstrong (nee Mason). Originally from Palmerston North, Loren settled in New Plymouth, Taranaki with her young family.
Loren is a highly trained and experienced actor and teacher, who is dedicated to sharing her love of the performing arts with young people. With her Bachelor of Performing Arts and Screen Acting, and Post-Graduate Diploma in Teaching Secondary School, she is well-equipped to inspire and guide children as they explore their creativity and develop their talents. Her new venture as the founder of Limelight Drama is an exciting opportunity to create a safe and nurturing space where kids can express themselves, build confidence, and have fun. Loren is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported. With her infectious enthusiasm and warm personality, Loren is sure to create lasting memories for the students she works with.
